KA-BAR 1481 TDI Law Enforcement Serrated Edge Knife - Non-intrusive & Concealable, A Review

The KA-BAR 1481 TDI Law Enforcement Serrated Edge Knife is an excellent knife as an EDC. Small and compact, the angled handle allows it to be used almost naturally without the need to bend your wrist.

Coupled with the hard plastic friction sheath with metal belt clip, the whole package is small and can be attached almost anywhere - non-intrusive & concealable.

The design comes also with a straight edge but I decided to go for the serrated edge model as I don't want the hassle of sharpening the knife. The purpose I wanted the knife is so that I can cut rope as well as go through cardboard (unboxing). Due to the shape of the handle, it would be difficult to use if you need to prep food.

I purchase the watch via Amazon for USD35.00.

Specifications

  • Textured Zytel handle
  • 5.63" overall length
  • Non-reflective black powder coated 2.31" AUS 8A stainless steel serrated blade
  • Hard plastic friction sheath with a metal belt clip

KA-BAR Straight Edge Short Knife with Leather Sheath in Black - A Great Utility Knife, A Review

I bought my first KA-BAR. The perfectly sized fixed blade knife, the Short Ka-Bar performs as well as the larger original, but is a more practical size for camping, carrying and general utility. The American legend is fitted with an oval-shaped Kraton G thermoplastic elastomer handle.

I got it via Amazon for USD50.61.

This watch is made in the USA with a blade length of 5.25"or 13.34 cm. Overall length is 9.25" or 23.50 cm. Coated black for rust protection.

The steel is 1095 Cro-Van steel which is a high carbon steel. The sheath is real leather and made in Mexico.

This is a brilliant knife. Although it is not a full-size KA-BAR knife, the smaller size is more practical in my view and experience. It is a lighter and easier to carry knife. As a utility knife, it is great.

Wartech S-3023 Milspec Tactical - Huge, A Review

The Wartech S-3023 Milspec Tactical is a 13" hunting knife which features a 440 stainless steel blade with a black ABS handle. It has a contoured handle for easy handling. This knife also includes a nylon sheath to keep this knife safe and secure while not in use as well as a sharpening stone.

This knife is halfway between a machete and a typical hunting knife. Very hefty and a thick knife (5 mm). The handle grips well.

The knife has a titanium coating that gives that grayish colour.

The sheath provided is well designed. It has a full belt loop and extra leg ties so keep it firmly on the side of your leg. The sheath also comes with a bundled para cord. A small pocket is also provided which also includes a "diamond" sharpener.

Paid USD35.92 for it plus an additional USD37.10 for courier and import fees via Amazon. I decided to use the Amazon Global Priority option (via DHL) as this is my second attempt at buying this particular knife. The first attempt ended when it was stopped at US Customs (I eventually got a refund from Amazon). This time around it got through.
