Multi-blade Exchangeable Exchangeable Full Grip Knife System

I saw this very interesting knife system the other day. Just RM78 and it comes with a full handle but with the option to attach four (4) different blades. As you can see below, the blades provided are substantial.

The main component of the system is the handle.

The handle has a two-latch system to secure a blade to it. It is located at the back and from the photo below you can see the tab that access the first latch.

When you flip the tab over, it allows you then depress the locking bar (the second of the two-latch system). Keeping it depress, you can then slot in a blade. Releasing it will lock the blade into the handle. Flipping back the tab adds another level of security.

Below are some of the photos of the knife in various configurations.

A saw.

A knife.

A small chopper.

A very interesting concept. This particular knife was made in China and has no brand name.

TNT Tactical Folding Knife, A Review

This is another cheap folding knife from China. The brand is called TNT. It is an all metal construction with the typical plate lock. There is a tab on the blade which allows the user to flick open the knife single-handed.

The knife is 4.5" folded. With a blade of 3", the total length of the knife is 7.5". The blade has a single sharp edge. Design-wise, more skeleton in concept with the internals painted sky blue whereas the rest of the knife has a grey stone-wash surface texture.

The knife is sharp straight out of the box. Unfortunately, the quality of steel used is uncertain.

Generic Butterfly Knife from China, A Review

I got a cheap generic butterfly knife from a shop in Mid Valley of Chinese origin. Got it for about RM40. It measures 13 cm folded and 22.5 cm unfolded. The blade is 9 cm long. It comes standard with a canvas strap and belt loop.

The knife is secured using a locking bar located at the end. The handle is metal with wooden inserts located in the centre.

The knife blade is sharpen on one side. As the exact composition of the metal is unknown, based on the price paid, I do not expect the knife to be able to withstand excessive blows and keep its edge for a long time.

SOG FastHawk Tactical Tomahawk Axe with Sheath (F06PN-CP) - A Review

I got myself my first 'tomahawk'. Made by SOG, the FastHawk Tactical Tomahawk with reference number F06PN-CP has a length of 12.5" with a blade length of 2". Weighing in at 19 oz, the axe was purchased via Amazon for USD33.00.

The axe head is made out of 420 stainless steel with two holes to reduce the weight. It has a satin finish with the edge sharpen somewhat (it could have been sharper).

There is a checkered section at the T-junction. The pike end is also satin finished.

The axe head is secured to glass-reinforced nylon handle via two-head screws (see the image above). Note that the tang of the axe head is wider than the handle width. Below this point, a wide metal band is wrapped around the handle for additional safety.

At the end of the handle, a hole is provided for one to thread a lanyard. The brand is prominently stamped on the side of the handle.

For transport, a ballistic nylon sheath is provided with the package.

Conclusion: I suggest the all black version would be a better option. This axe is too shinny.

Wartech Buckshot Forest Hunting 8.75 in Fixed Blade Full Tang Cleaver Razor Knife with Sheath - A Review

This is a full tang cleaver. It has an overall length of 8.75" and used primary to chop or prepare food. I bought it purely because of its looks.

Reviews written by other owners seems to suggest the nylon sheath to be weak and breaks apart after a few weeks of use. I think I can see why. Due to the shape of the blade, one has to force the knife into the sheath with some pressure as the opening does not take into consideration the slightly wider girth of the front part of the blade.

Specifications

Overall Length: 8.75"
Blade Length: 4"
Steel: 3CR13 Stainless Steel
Sheath: Nylon
MSRP: USD19.95
